Biography
I was born in Louisville, Kentucky and traveled extensively throughout childhood. My father was an Air Force colonel, so we moved every year or two. When we lived in the Philippine Islands and Germany, I became fascinated with the convergence of Eastern and Western spirituality. I began a profound inner journey in my early twenties, beginning my meditation practice, doing graduate work in England at the University of Birmingham in Stratford-upon-Avon, and earning my Ph.D. in Renaissance literature at UCLA.
Since then, I've gotten credentials in holistic health and spiritual counseling and a Master's Degree in Counseling with a health psychology emphasis from Santa Clara University as well as certification in life and leadership coaching from MentorCoach and the International Coaching Federation. My passion is helping people connect with their creative potential, discover their vocations, and make a positive difference in the world.
I live in northern California with my husband, neuroscientist Dr. Robert Numan, our dachshund Ginny, and horse, Little Darlin'.
